We proudly are one of the first studios in México to be certified by Dolby. It's not an easy task to say the least. To properly mix (or should we say master) in Dolby Atmos not only you must have the correct set of monitors (9.1.4 in our case, the recommended array for working in music) but also the software version is very important. From the beginning we were recommended by an expert to use the DAMS (Dolby Atmos Mastering Suite) so we wouldn't have any delay compensation issues within Pro Tools (which you will encounter if you use the Dolby Atmos Production Suite version).
We have a two computer system running with 64 channels from Pro Tools to the Dolby Atmos Renderer and then we monitor everything through a Grace Design m908 monitoring system to properly hear and manage all the speakers. All running through Dante connections.
